Elizabeth Caffey is a self taught painter/illustrator who currently lives and works from her studio in Quartz Hill, Ca(60 mi outside of Los Angeles. Her work draws from surrealist, realist and illustration traditions. Her paintings show a cast of characters who are complex and strange. The paintings have an ethereal, otherworldly feel. The images invite the viewer into another world and at the same time uses the psychological aspects of the human psyche in this world. She has been displaying her work in galleries since 2008 including The Hive Gallery and Studios, C.A.V.E. Gallery, Cannibal Flower, Distinction Art, and Eclectix. Her work has been published in several issues ofThe Northridge Review and Max and The Siamese Twins by Max Stout and is also schedulded in forthcoming publications that will be added to the site as they are released.
